INSTRUCTION BY LECTURE, VIDEO AND STUDENT PARTICIPATION ON MANIKINS

bulletLearn hands-on with a manikin for one person CPR.
bulletLearn hands-on with a manikin for two person CPR.
bulletGroup participation to develop hand skills with a manikin.
bulletAutomated External Defibrillation use, both adult and child.
bulletIdentification of the signs and symptoms of airway obstruction including dislodging techniques.
bulletRecognition of the early warning signals of respiratory and cardiac arrest.
bulletIdentification of the signs and symptoms of stroke.
bulletUnderstanding the functions of heart and lung anatomy.
bulletIdentification of risk factors.
bulletReview of legal considerations for performing CPR to avoid litigation.
bulletChild and infant CPR are presented.
bulletMouth-to-mask ventilation are presented.
bulletBag-Valve-Mask is presented.
bulletCourse meets the minimum requirements for Healthcare Provider CPR with American Heart Association certification valid for two years.
bulletCourse length is six hours with a minimum score of 84% on a written test.
